Had an idea for a while now, worked on it little by little -- can you notice something new on your right hand side? Babyblue got the most votes so I create her first ^^

I'll be adding things/fine tuning her over time as I am rather busy with work these days (wah!) But I hope you like her ;P You'll need flash player on your browser to see her ^^; Otherwise, here is a still image of Babyblue :3 I will eventually add her to Gallery page.

Phew, another long week of flurry of busy-ness, managed to squeeze in some time to clean up Bblue's line art with Sai, should be hopefully colouring it in between work over the week (I hope)!



The initial line art, unfortunately have a buncha broken lines after scanning in higher resolution, so I was quite busy smoothing out the lines with Sai. I'm so glad Sai is a relatively small program and very easy to use for this purpose ^^! You probably can tell some differences in the comparison image above :3 Bblue is in the lead at the moment LOL! Thanks for participating in the voting!

Ahmin is kinda sad that she's last in line, I suspect it was because people may be concern that she is a "trap" but she's 100% girl okay! :P

I am aware of some of the feedback about my gallery and I'll be thinking about how to improve it over time, thank you for coming back and supporting this messy little gallery tho :) I think I may try to put some of the labels (example Fan art) on the side, to hopefully make it a bit easier for people who prefer to look at a bigger thumbnails with some ramblings with related blog posts ^^/

Old art revisited and a priceless gift

Was digging up some archived stuff, found an old fan art of Iori (from I"s) I unfortunately cannot locate where the original PSD was (oops). This piece of fan art I actually submitted to Katsura's official site before, when it was still around. :)



Also found a scan of the Masakazu Katsura's autograph which my dear friend Saka got for me during a convention.(I still feel very touched!!!) Would be nice if I were actually at the convention in person, but I think it just happened that I couldn't afford it then ;_;




I leave you with a photo of an event which changed my life forever :P Was taking part in the World's longest comic strip when I was in my teens... Ah so nostalgic LOL!

Flash doll Andrica, now on cartoondollemporium.com!

I had worked on Andrica for a little while now, and with some help from coding elves (LOL), I am glad she is finally completed and up live on cartoondollemporium :D

You can change her clothing, decide her hair colour, show/hide little companions next to her, write creative dialogues for them and save a jpg capture of your final creation onto your desktop :) Hope you like her as much as I do!

I will eventually update her into the Gallery :)

May and Bblue sketch

Am heading out soon, but while away from the computer yesterday I managed to draw 2 characters ;P May and Bblue. Scanned it in with slight editing (for now), and woo looks like Blue is catching up with Red LOL (Thank you all for voting! ^^)

Seeing Red

Red thanks all those who voted for her by forcing me to post this artwork (quickly done, and not full size ^^;) before the long weekend :P

Fruits of our labour...

I made this graphic(s) for cartoondollemporium over a period of a few weeks earlier this year, and this week it is live thanks to the hard work of the programmers! I am so damn happy, cos it was a lot of work if you can't tell LOL!

Original art was done in flash, and the animater store owners of each store is done by other talented artists :) You gotta sign up (it's free!) to view this, and the stores closer up ^^

In the mall, you can buy stuff for your avatar, I contributed to some of it too! :3 Gotta work on the boys stuff sometime (oops)! I am most proud of the bakery items, they make me hungry when I look through them ^^; Okay time for lunch... more later!

Original characters

I was often asked "Who are you drawing?" whenever I draw a person (Mostly girls), most of them are nameless characters except for a few... I quickly sketched this doodle out, and coloured roughly on photoshop. ^^



BBlue is probably one of the first characters I ever created (and actually remembered) for an online chatting site. She's probably eternally 19 years old, gentle and smart, very girly but a bit stubborn.

Paw is boisterous and silly, loud and sometimes a bit annoying. She's the most tomboyish of the lot. Her hair was sometimes reddish rather than dark blue :) I think I draw her the most.

Red is a character I almost scratched, but I do like her mature and curvy design. She has a mysterious occupation (a spy maybe?) And is quite athletic despite her feminine look.

Ahmin is probably the most exposed and long running original character I have created so far. In fact I cannot even remember which year I created her o_o; but it is a long time ago ^^;
The funny thing was she was initially supposed to be a male character but I asked for her to be a tomboy instead since girls are cuter and have more fun with fashion (and they accepted the idea). You may still see her reporting on anime/manga/comics related news about once a week on the Chinese Daily paper Lianhe Zaobao in Singapore.

Of course there's also the character, May, whom I created as the cover girl of my first book, from Puppy with Love. I hope to some day revive her if I settle down on a good storyline :)

Old comic art revisited

So I been quite busy with work, but I had been meaning to put some older work up tho (Like REALLY old stuff). Pardon the quality of my old art ^^; ), and I also wanted to test out some flash related coding ^^; I hope it works without breaking anyone's internet :P

This little story was from one of the Manga Doomei publications (kinda like a group collaboration) and the story happened to be one of my personal favourite (other than that my artwork is really not up to standard LOL) I should be putting this file into gallery later on :)

Question: ^^; Should I put comics on a flash template?
Anyone cannot see anything under this sentence?

Quick sketch of a memory

One of my husband's favorite past time is to reorganize and optimize our living/working space(s). That was what we did yesterday on a grey and rainy afternoon (after bringing some stuff to recycle and donate). So this was my sewing corner, the "before" state -- forgot to take a photo before moving things around LOL so did a quick doodle.

Happy Mother's Day!

So what was I soooooo busy with this week? A mother's day related flash doll card game for cartoondollemporium, I take no credit for the coding (done by the programmers in the team :)). Coming up with ideas, drawing, making change after change was very time consuming ^^; Haven't had this little sleep for a long time XP! Really wanted to draw something else for puppy52.com but now I'm kinda burn out for ideas, so don't mind this screen capture from the game ;)



However I would like to share a fuzzy childhood memory I had when I was probably less than 5 years old, I think we were told to draw a mother's day card, and for some reason I did not know how to write "Mama" (in mandarin) properly, I ended up writing "horse horse"(In the chinese character, the "Ma" character in Mother (Mama), has an extra part which means "woman") instead ^^;;;;;; remember it cracked my mom up :P

And my mom was a hottie in her younger days :P LOL

On a slightly non related note, one of the flash game -- Runway Challenge, where I was involved in with a lot of the graphics was also out a little while back. This game kept me really busy for a long time as well, but the time crunch I did not feel as much as the mother's day game ^^;



I created most of the graphics -- Models, clothing, backgrounds, some buttons, and there was an animator involved with things like the model walking down the runway (poor guy had to animate all the clothing being animated :O), and all the coding is done by a flash programmer.

Brief information about the game: you can choose to model, judge or just watch the game. I guess due to that there's only 2 spots for models, that selection almost always full ^^;
Being a model allows you to dress up with 2 rooms of clothing selection in a time limit, walk down the runway, and being a Judge, you see the models dress up, walk the runway and you get to give points, Watch will allow you to watch the game without having to take part in the dressing up or judging :) We're probably going to add more features to the game in future, so I'll probably blog about it when that happens :D

Ranka quick sketch

Watched Macross Frontier with hubs and decided okay gonna sketch Ranka Lee, I don't super like her but I thought her hair style is kinda unique in a funny way... anyone think they look like floppy ears?

Anyhows here is the super (duper) quick sketch, done in 10-15 minutes ^^;
Not sure if I am gonna colour her tho, but if I am to do that, definitely not this week, too busy :P

Lady Emerald - gift painting

As some of you may know, I am pretty into of dolls, namely a kind called blythes, some people may not like them or find them creepy, which I can understand (since the first time I came across them it wasn't a "love at first sight") thing either :P And by the way puppy52doll.com is unfortunately a little neglected these days as I am really able to sew very much :( I miss sewing and messing with my dolls (wah!)

Anyways I had been so busy that this piece of water olour was the only thing I got to finish up as I needed to meet a dateline to send it out (oops) it is a portrait -- in my drawing style, of a world travelling blythe doll ^^

I think it turned out okay?


Anyways this weekend had been rather busy, we had a garage sale at our old place

Water colour art from 2003

dannychoo.com recently implemented a new upload feature, I had been mucking around with it every once in a while :P Today I found a piece of water colour artwork done in 2003, a gift for my hubby actually ^^

I still quite like it, so I asked if he would mind if I share it on the internet, he said go ahead, so here it is ^^
